Actually Finished, I guess...
Little Things [mp3 - 7.08MB, 7:44]- My most ambitious to date, a song about a guy who feels he's not contributing enough to his relationship. Hey, I bet a lot of guys can relate.
Kate's Song [mp3 - 2.25MB, 2:27] - Written for an long lost girlfriend, no lyrics, which is fine. I've had this piece around with me for 30 years or more, and I still don't think that this treatment says it all.
Letter to a Fundamentalist [mp3 - 3.37MB, 3:41] - My final exam for "Record Production - Business Practices," a course I took at UCLA Extension for my Recording Engineering Certificate. I got an "A"! So did everyone else!
Dragonfly [mp3 - 2.87MB, 3:08]- An early digital piece, and guitar ditty. Getting high on strings.
Milo [mp3 - 2.36MB, 2:35] - Another in a series of guitar ditties. Like Kate's Song, been around a long time.
Pause for Thought [mp3 - 5.29MB, 5:47]- Yup, guitar ditty
Birthday [mp3 - 5.28MB, 5:46] - Written for my wife, Ann, featuring, as near as I can figure, an 8 year old Wallis Miyuki in the bridge. I mean, it is Wallis, I'm just not sure how old she was.
Nana's Birthday [mp3 - 6.82MB, 7:27] - Same as the previous piece, but arranged in 6/8 fro my mother-out-law, Margaret, and still featuring an 8 year old Wallis.
Your Mother, Your Own [mp3 - 4.38MB, 4:47] - A song for Mother's Day, featuring Mark Deleonardis on a kind of electronic drum kit thing that he hated.
New Year's [mp3 - 22.27MB, 24:20]- An ambient construction intended as a trilogy with "Bird", below, and another unrealized piece for an ambient cd. Oh no.
What Kind of Bird Was That? [mp3 - 19.82MB, 21:39] - Thanks to Bill Murrow for the title, another "ambient" piece.
C.a.G.Y.L. (Lolly Vegas) [mp3 - 4.60MB, 5:27] - Cover tune, for Valentine's Day one year. I do that occasionally.
Mrs. Robinson (Paul Simon) [mp3 - 4.04MB, 4:25] - Done up for my sister Leslie, I think she used it for her mother-in-law's birthday one year, with altered lyrics, of course. I used this a test, as it was the first digital recording, and the first recording at Cimarron Sound. I added the vocals later.
Song for Wallis [mp3 - 3.23MB, 3:32] - Guitar ditty, although the full title is Song for Wallis to Eventually Play Violin To, Had She Not Quit Playing the Violin in 5th Grade. There was supposed to be a fugue at the end that she and I would've duetted on. Sniff...
Top of the Stairs [mp3 - 4.12MB, 4:30] - Another Valentine's effort.
Dreamstealer [mp3 - 1.32MB, 1:27] - Along with We 3 Camels, an improvised piece with Wallis reading whatever, whilst Mark Deleonardis and I jam out behind her.
We 3 Camels [mp3 - 1.16MB, 1:16] - Same as above.
Working Titles
ADA2DBD2 [mp3 - 4.53MB, 4:57] - Looking for a good car crash and atomic explosion to close out the fiasco at the end. And more guitars. With Mark D. on additional percussive flavorings.
Mondo Taiko [mp3 - 1.89MB, 2:04]- Actually a piece I was working on for the Japanese American National Museum that I extended and processed to build a Taiko miasma. In fact click here to go to JANM and play the Taiko game, amongst other activities.
ADA Taiko [mp3 - 5.05MB, 5:31] - Now, put the first 2 pieces together, and you get this. Needs a Taiko drum solo in the middle, don't you think. Jeez, I know enough drummers.
Black Guitar [mp3 - 5.41MB, 5:55] - A song in search of lyrics. The title comes from the fact that I wrote it on my ASAT, which is, coincidently, black.
Durkie [mp3 - 5.36MB, 5:51] - A song in search of lyrics. (Copy and Paste.) With our old mutt in mind. He used to play hockey with us. Then, later in life, he couldn't walk. Hmm. Discuss.
